Very rarely will you find someone who becomes a millionaire overnight, so don’t believe the hype!! There is a lot of noise on social media about how you can quit your 9-5 and make millions, and how you can bring in top dollar in a short period of time.  I have spent hours cleaning out my inbox and unsubscribing from people who are trying to sell the hype.

Wealth
The only way to become a millionaire overnight is to inherit a fortune or win the lottery, and unfortunately, people tend to squander the first, and spend way too much of their hard earned money on the latter.

Does that mean that you can never be wealthy?  Of course not!  But, the amount of wealth you acquire and maintain, tends to be based on how wealthy you are as a person.  What does that mean?  It means that if you are not willing to invest in yourself and your personal growth, you will never acquire wealth. 

You may be thinking there are people who acquire wealth in ways that seem unethical or dishonest. But, even they tend to invest time and money in learning their craft.  However, happiness, fulfillment and peace of mind are usually not present, and consequences are often less than desirable.

A Life of Purpose
In order to live a fulfilling, meaningful life of purpose, you have to work from the inside out. The fact is if you do not want to change, or do the work that is required to change, no amount of emails, landing pages, free gifts, postings or incentives will alter that. 

For years I spent my life creating my own chaos, not even conscious I was doing so.  Depression was a constant companion and I chose to wallow in sadness and feeling sorry for myself.  Of course, many people would say it was because of events that happened when I was young, which gave me more of an excuse and justification for my suffering of choice…you know, like drug of choice.  No difference – they are both life threatening. 

The bottom line is no matter what happened to me, there was no excuse or justification for my depression; it was my choice.  The day I learned that… was the day that my life transformed. 

Capacity for Greatness
What makes me different from anyone else selling a product or service?  I’m not – I’m the same as you or the next person.  The same ability and capacity that I have to live a large life, is the same ability and capacity that exists inside of you.  The difference is awareness and application.   

The thing is we want quick gratification – we want it now – we want a quick fix!!  We want something to solve our problems in a hurry!  Why is that?  Because we are uncomfortable; that’s why; and, for most of us, being uncomfortable is not a good feeling.  But, instead of trying to get out of the problem, why not learn from it.  It is an opportunity. I know what you are saying… “How can this problem or situation possibly be an opportunity?  Get out of here!” I know those were my words at one time.

Think about it.  When the problem is resolved, many of us end up in the same situation or with the same problem many times over.  Yet, we never stop to think about what we are doing or why we are doing it.  We just continue the cycle.  You’ve heard it before – the definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.

The Best Return on Investment 
When I realized the amount of time, energy and money I was spending on things that were not serving my life, I decided to shift the paradigm and invest in myself. What a rewarding result!  I am no longer weighted down by depression. Am I a millionaire?  Not yet, but I am working on being wealthy first, and that in itself is a gift which has opened up infinite possibilities and opportunities.

Yes, it did take a mentor to help me get to the place I am today, but the investment I made in myself comes with the highest ROI (return on investment) you can imagine.  Being a heart-centered coach and helping empower others to transform their own lives is the highest honor, and the greatest fulfillment.
