When you are living an authentic life you are not swayed by what other people think about you. You accept yourself for who you are today. You take responsibility for your life: things you have done in the past, things that you do today, and things that you plan for the future.
Authentic people do not define themselves by their outward appearance. They understand that they create their lives from the inside out. They understand the power of thoughts and feelings in their results.
When you become aware of your authentic self, you can understand and embrace the following:
I am whole and complete just as I am.
I am comfortable in my own skin. I am free from the need to look outside myself for validation or approval. I only need to approve of myself.
My accomplishments are impressive, but I define myself by other measures. I am a good and kind person. I take care of those around me. I am a good friend and family member. I put people above money and accomplishments.
I am satisfied with who I am. I was born complete and have been complete ever since. Nothing is lacking in my life. The whole world belongs to me. I am whole in everything I do.
I am able to embrace all aspects of myself. I strive to experience my completeness in everything I do.
I allow all aspects of myself to be exposed to the world. I allow that small part of me that wants to speak out to be heard. I give all parts of me a voice.
I avoid judging, denying, or rejecting any part of myself. I embrace my totality and appreciate my wholeness. I am whole and complete just as I am.
Today, I am satisfied with my completeness. I am grateful that I can appreciate myself just as I am today. I give myself permission to be just as I am.
